      On August 20, 2026, in Nanjing, China, a veterinary orthopedic rehabilitation technology company officially released its newly upgraded modular small animal orthopedic external fixator system, after completing 14 months of clinical verification with 11 veterinary orthopedic rehabilitation centers. The product is specially designed for limb deformity correction and open fracture fixation in small animals, achieving a 0.1mm daily adjustment accuracy, with 31% higher correction precision than traditional external fixator products.

      This small animal orthopedic external fixator system adopts a full modular design, with 127 different types of connecting rods, fixing rings and needle clamps that can be freely combined, adapting to the limb anatomical characteristics of animals ranging from 1kg cats to 50kg large breed dogs. Its lightweight aviation aluminum material reduces the total weight of the fixator by 48% compared with traditional stainless steel products, effectively reducing the burden on the limbs of small animals during the correction period. Clinical data from a veterinary rehabilitation center in Nanjing shows that after treating 213 cases of canine congenital limb deformity, the average correction cycle was shortened from 12 weeks to 8 weeks, and the postoperative limb alignment accuracy reached 98.6%.

      The system is equipped with a dedicated digital adjustment scale, and pet owners can complete the daily fine-tuning of the fixator at home according to the veterinarian's instructions, without the need for frequent hospital visits. The specially designed needle clamp structure can effectively reduce the loosening rate of Kirschner wires, and the incidence of needle tract infection after surgery dropped from 13.2% to 2.8%. The product can also be used in combination with 3D printed personalized auxiliary templates, further improving the accuracy of intraoperative installation.

      According to data from the American Veterinary Medical Association, the global number of small animals requiring limb deformity correction surgery exceeds 2.2 million every year, and the market demand for high-precision veterinary external fixators continues to grow at an annual rate of 28%.
